Alderman Newton’s Educational Foundation (Leicester)

Alderman Newton's Educational Foundation provides educational grants to help young people under the age of 25 who live in Leicester or Leicestershire. The Foundation can give grants towards:

  • course fees for study or vocational training in any field;
  • accommodation costs while studying;
  • travel costs to the place of study;
  • funds for necessary equipment, clothing and materials;
  • any other costs directly associated with undertaking a course of study or vocational training.

Who is eligible?

Applicants must be aged under 25 and have a permanent home within the Diocese of Leicester, which covers the city of Leicester and most of the county of Leicestershire.  You must have lived here for at least two years in order to qualify for a grant.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate their need for financial assistance.
