Alderman Newton’s Educational Foundation (Leicester)

Alderman Newton's Educational Foundation provides educational grants to help young people under the age of 25 who live in Leicester. The Foundation can give grants towards:

  • accommodation costs while studying;
  • travel costs to the place of study;
  • course fees;
  • funds for necessary equipment, clothing and materials; and any other costs directly associated with undertaking a course of study or vocational training.

Who is eligible?

Applicants must be aged under 25 and have a permanent home within the Diocese of Leicester, which covers the city of Leicester and most of the county of Leicestershire. Applicants must be able to demonstrate their need for financial assistance.

Please note that applications for school fees will only be considered in extreme circumstances.
