BBC Children in Need Emergency Essentials Programme

This fund is only open to applications from intermediaries or support workers

We support children and young people, aged 17 and under, who are facing exceptionally difficult circumstances.

The programme provides items that meet a child's most basic needs such as a bed to sleep in, a cooker to provide a hot meal and other items or services critical to a child’s wellbeing.

Who is eligible?

We can help vulnerable children and young people age 17 and under who are:

  • experiencing a crisis or emergency
  • a UK or EU citizen who are are normally resident in the UK

How to apply?

Individuals should not apply directly. Instead, a professional referrer should register with the Emergency Essentials Programme to be able to apply on a child's behalf.
