Carers of Epsom

The Carers of Epsom charity can help individual carers in Epsom and Ewell and the Banstead area (the part of the borough of Reigate and Banstead which lies to the north of the M25 and west of the A23) with grants to help meet their needs, whether physical or emotional, and to promote their wellbeing. The charity can also help with funding for events and support groups for carers in the same area.

We do not have hard and fast criteria but we are able to give small (up to £750) grants for things such as:

  • Contribution towards respite holidays or breaks
  • Essential household items such as white goods
  • Club membership
  • Training courses
  • Computers or other IT equipment
  • Holiday play schemes
  • Travel costs for specific activities
  • Cover for the carer when engaged in a respite activity
  • Financial hardship.

Please note: We don't give grants for anything that the local authorities have a statutory responsibility to provide.

Who is eligible?

Individual carers and organisations/support groups for carers in Epsom and Ewell and the Banstead area (the part of the borough of Reigate and Banstead which lies to the north of the M25 and west of the A23) with grants to help meet their needs, whether physical or emotional, and to promote their wellbeing.

What we don't fund

We don't give grants for anything that the local authorities have a statutory responsibility to provide.

How to apply?

We accept direct enquiries and applications from individuals or members of their family.

You can apply using the online form on the Carers of Epsom website or contact the charity for more information. If you are a carer and you are applying yourself, your application needs to be supported by a Carer Support Adviser or a representative of the Health Services, Social Services or another Agency recognised by Carers of Epsom.

We have a preference to pay suppliers or creditors directly.  If that is not possible, we will pay grants directly to individual claimants.

We look at requests for help as soon as an enquiry is submitted. It usually take an average of 1-2 weeks to process grant applications.

We reply to all enquiries, whether or not we can help.
