Carers Trust (Informal Carers)

Carers Trust helps anyone people living with the challenges of caring, unpaid, for a family member or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or addiction problems. The charity has grants to support carers in their caring role.

We can only accept applications through local, independent carers organisations who are members of the Carers Trust Network (called Network Partners). So carers who have a Carers Trust Network Partner in their local area may be eligible to apply for a grant of up to £300 for items or activities that will benefit them in their caring role, for example for:

  • Breaks
  • Household items, e.g. fridges and beds
  • Driving lessons and travel costs
  • Courses and materials to develop carers' skills and personal development
  • Home repairs.
