Consolidated Charity of Burton-upon-Trent

One-off grants for people in need who live in the former county of Burton upon Trent or the parishes of Branston, Stretton, Outwoods, Burton under Needwood, Rolleston-on-Dove, Rangemore and Tutbury.

It provides people with help to purchase essential items such as;

  • Cookers, fridge freezers and washing machines
  • Carpets, furniture and bedding
  • Mobility aids
  • School uniforms

Who is eligible?

People in need who live in the former county of Burton upon Trent or the parishes of Branston, Stretton, Outwoods, Burton under Needwood, Rolleston-on-Dove, Rangemore and Tutbury. Grants are for essential items. 

The charity also gives grants to local organisations and individuals for educational purposes. 

What we don't give grants for

We only give grants as specified on the application form that is available from the charity.

We do not repay debts.

 

How to apply?

Individuals can apply directly but applications must be supported by a support worker or other suitable professional (e.g Social Worker, Probation Officer, Tenancy Support Worker, Health Visitor).

The letter of support should contain a detailed reason why the applicant needs assistance and should clearly state the items that are needed. The letter must be on headed paper and signed by the person supporting the application.
