DTD Charity (formerly SF Charity/Tishie Yong Foundation)

Severely disabled people of all ages, living in the East and West Midlands, covering the counties Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Warwickshire and the West Midlands. The charity works within areas covered by the postcodes NG, LE, DE, CV, B, WS, WV, DY and some starting with S.

The charity usually gives grants for specialist equipment, specialist holidays or services that reduce any problems caused by the disability.

Disability can include significant sensory, physical and intellectual impairments and those with complex and challenging behavioural needs.

Holiday grants

We are only able to contribute to holidays where specialist accommodation relating to the disability of the disabled person is needed.

General family holidays will not be considered. Our maximum holiday grant is £1,000, and this is usually for holidays in the UK and in specialist accommodation.

We recommend that applications for specialist holidays are made 6-12 months in advance.

Individuals need to include a letter of support from a professional when applying.
