Francis Head Award

Grants are available to professional writers over the age of 35 writing in the English language who were born in mainland UK or Northern Ireland.

Who is eligible?

Professional writers over the age of 35 writing in the English language who were born in mainland UK or Northern Ireland. There is a preference for authors who are unable to maintain themselves or their families owing to illness, disability or an accident. Please note that the Francis Head Award does not give grants for work in progress.

How to apply?
