Gardner’s Trust for the Blind

Gardner’s Trust for the Blind provides grants to individuals who are registered blind or partially sighted. The Trust considers applications for:

  • Computer equipment and software
  • Education or training costs
  • Household items, including some white goods

The Trust is unable to help pay off debt, loan repayments, holidays or anything that has already been paid for.

Who is eligible?

Registered blind or partially sighted people who live in the UK. To be able to apply, you should be a UK resident and certified blind or partially sighted.

How to apply?

The Trust considers applications in March, June, September and December. Please contact the Trust to find out when the deadlines are.

You can apply directly or a third party can apply on your behalf. Please contact the Trust to ask for an application form.

Your application should include a completed Gardner's Trust application form and:

  • A letter of support from your social worker, GP, local council, local blind society or rehabilitation officer
  • A copy of certification of visual impairment
  • Quote and print out and details of product/item that is being requested.
