Herbert Norcross Scholarship Fund

People under 30 who have a permanent residence within the borough of Rochdale or the former administrative County of Lancaster. Applicants must have a first degree at any University, College or other place of Further Education approved by the Trustees and be undertaking a post graduate, research or a similar course in the UK or abroad. Grants are towards course fees, travel expenses or books and equipment.

Who is eligible?

To apply you must be:

  • Under the age of 30 on the 1st September within the year you are applying
  • Have permanent residence within the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale or the former administrative County of Lancaster
  • Have successfully completed a first degree at any University, College or other place of Further Education approved by the Trustees and be undertaking a post graduate, research or a similar course in the UK or abroad

What we can't fund

  • First or undergraduate degree courses
  • Living expenses
  • Repeat applications
