Heywood Relief-in-Need

One-off grants for people in need who live in the Heywood area. Grants are usually between £50 - £400 and recent grants have been given to help with fuel arrears, clothing and furniture.

In extreme cases applications may be considered from people who temporarily live outside of the Heywood.

Who is eligible?

People in need who live in the Heywood area.

We do not give grants for:

  • To meet Council Tax or other other statutory payments, or charges imposed or benefits reduced due to Government policy;
  • To pay debts or fees for either Bankruptcy or Debt Relief Order processes;
  • For repeat applications.

How to apply?

Individuals can apply directly but their application must be supported by a professional support worker, for example a Social Worker, Health Worker, Doctor, who knows how your personal circumstances are affecting your ability to meet your needs.
