Lumb’s Educational Foundation

The Foundation gives educational grants to young people aged 16 to 24 who have a permanent address in Gloucestershire.

One-off grants might be made  - people can apply up to twice for a grant:

  • To help with uniforms/ other school clothing and outfits, books, equipment/instruments, fees where appropriate
  • To support vocational training
  • To support the gaining of specific practical skills leading to employment
  • To people starting work to help with uniforms, books and equipment/instruments
  • To help young people doing degree courses in most subjects, but not sport

Who is eligible?

Young people aged 16 to 24 who have a permanent address in Gloucestershire and need help with their education

What we can't help with

  • Sports students
  • Students who have only moved to the county to study

How to apply?

Please email the foundation to request an application form. 

All applicants are invited to meet the Trustees to describe in more detail their plans and how a grant will help in their education or training.
