Martineau Trust

One-off grants for people living in Suffolk who have an illness or disability and are on a low income. The Trust also helps families in Suffolk who are affected by a disability.

Grants are given for a variety of needs, such as mobility aids, transport costs, heating costs, clothing and bedding.

Who is eligible?

People living in Suffolk on a limited income who suffer directly or indirectly from an illness or disability.

What we can't help with

  • Items that should be provided by local or national government agencies
  • Holidays and 'breaks' for families
  • Child care costs
  • Alternative treatment therapies e.g. acupuncture
  • Normal household running expenses
  • Repayment of debts or expenditure that has already been incurred
  • Applications not relating to an illness or disability

How to apply?

Individuals should not apply directly. Instead, professional third party such as a health visitor or social worker should complete the application form.
