Michael Lowe’s & Associated Charities

As well as the fuel grants for people over the age of 70, the present day objects of the Charity include the provision of assistance to individuals resident in the City of Lichfield, who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress, by making grants to organisations or providing or paying for items which will benefit the recipient.

Who is eligible?

People in need who live in the city of Lichfield, particularly older people and those requiring help in an emergency or those who are living in conditions of hardship or distress.

The trustees may require the recipient to make a contribution of 10% to the cost of any item provided.

How to apply?

Applications for help can be addressed to the Clerk to the Michael Lowe’s Charity at the given contact address.

When customers come to the warehouse, they select the items they want and we deliver it the same day. Mostly it’s free, but sometimes a small delivery charge is made, of £15 for the complete delivery. If anyone needs furniture they will be seen first by a Trustee of the Charity, who will ensure that only the needy can receive help.

The Trustees usually require the recipient to make a contribution of 10% of the cost of any item provided.
