Mountsorrel Educational Fund

Educational grants are available for young people aged under 25 years old whose parents have lived in the parish of Mountsorrel for at least 12 months. 

The trustees give grants to help those in further and higher education. Examples of grants given are: 

  • Music Tuition – one instrument per Applicant
  • Educational courses, books and specialist clothing – Please note grants are not given for computers 
  • Educational visits
  • Training schemes and apprenticeships

Who is eligible?

You may be eligible if your parents/ guardians must have been resident in the electoral parish of Mountsorrel for at least 12 months. You must be under the age of 25 at the start of your course.

What we don't give grants for

  • We cannot provide anything that are normally provided by the local authorities
  • We cannot give grants for computers
