Pharmacist Support

Pharmacist Support is an independent charity for pharmacists and their families, former pharmacists and pharmacy students in times of need. Our free and confidential services include financial assistance, debt, benefits and employment advice, an information and enquiry service, a stress helpline and addiction support.

Who is eligible?

Pharmacists (who have been on the register of the General Pharmaceutical Council (formerly Royal Pharmaceutical Society of GB), pre-registration trainees or students on an MPharm degree course in Great Britain. If you are the partner or a dependent of a pharmacist or former pharmacist you can also use our services.

How to apply?

Applications should be made via a form which is available for download from the website at https://pharmacistsupport.org/how-we-can-help/financial-assistance/how-to-apply/. Alternatively you can contact a member of the support team on 0808 168 2233 and a form will be mailed out to you.

Pharmacist Support also provides support services:

  • Advice on debts, benefits and employment law
  • A helpline for callers to talk anonymously and in confidence to a pharmacist about any stresses they are facing in their work or home life: 08081685133
  • Wellbeing services, including workshops, webinars and factsheets
  • Addiction support
