Professional Footballers’ Association Accident Insurance Fund

Medical assistance for members, or former members of the Professional Footballers' Association in England and Wales who are unable to play professional football as a result of permanent total disability from an injury or illness. Grants may be given for such as physiotherapy, consultations, scans and operations.

Who is eligible?

Members or former members of the association who need medical treatment as a result of a specific injury or illness which results in their permanent total disability to play professional football.

Please note that the fund can't give grants for anything that is available through the NHS.

The PFA provides members with a 24/7 counselling telephone helpline. This 'round-the-clock' support is available to all members past and present, and is underpinned with access to a national network of over 100 counsellors.
