Racing Welfare

Racing Welfare helps people who work in, or are retired from, the horseracing and thoroughbred breeding industry. Grants are given for a variety of needs, such as physiotherapy, emergency food aid, white goods and counselling.

Racing Welfare helps people who work in, or are retired from, the horseracing and thoroughbred breeding industry, and their dependents.

Other information

The Trust offers other types of support:

  • 24 hour helpline - 0800 6300 443 - to enable people to access support and guidance through digital, telephone and SMS text options. The charity’s highly trained helpline operators can now undertake benefits checks through Turn2Us. 
  • Information and advice on issues such as accidents, financial issues and retirement.
  • Careers advice or training for anyone who wants to develop within their current role or within the wider British horseracing industry.
  • Events for people working in racing to take part in sporting, social and educational activities.
  • A chaplaincy service.
  • Affordable housing.
