Radio Tay – Cash for Kids

Radio Tay's Cash for Kids charity supports children and young people aged up to 18 living in Radio Tay's local area (Tayside and Fife) who are sick, disabled or disadvantaged.

Who is eligible?

Children and young people aged under 18 who live in Radio Tay's local area and are sick, disabled or disadvantaged.

What we don't fund

  • Home improvements (windows and doors/extensions)

  • Holidays abroad for families

  • Furniture that will not be used specifically by children

  • School trips abroad

  • Televisions

  • Rent/rates for premises

  • Driving lessons for parents/carers

  • Medical treatment abroad.

How to apply?

Applications can be submitted by children's families or by health organisations/local community organisations.

You can apply online on the Radio Tay Cash for Kids website

Applications must  come with a letter of support on headed paper to confirm a family's circumstances; the last three months' bank statements; any quotes for items that the applicant is applying for.

The charity replies to all applicants, whether or not it can help.

You can submit an application at any time of the year. The Executive Board meets three times a year and the dates that grants are awarded are listed on the Radio Tay Cash for Kids website

Other information

We also give grants to projects/organisations working with children in need in the Radio Tay local area. However, grants are not given for: salaries/volunteer expenses or general operational costs.
