Rainy Day Trust

The Rainy Day Trust helps past and present employees of the home improvement and enhancement supply industry. Either you or your partner can have worked in the industry, and you should have worked in any part of that industry for 1 year. This must be for one company.

This includes people who have worked in the UK in Builders Merchants, Cookshops, DIY shops and outlets, hardware stores, garden centres, pottery/glass, manufacturers and distributors or as retailers.

We do not pay care homes direct, but pay a quarterly grant which equates to £100 per month. This can be used towards care home fees

Who is eligible?

The initial qualification required for an annual award or a one-off grant is that the applicant or their spouse/partner must have worked for 1 continuous year at a qualifying company. No grants are given to children, or to people working in the steel or motor industries; pet shop workers; or welders.
