Reading Dispensary Trust

This fund is only open to applications from intermediaries or support workers

The Reading Dispensary Trust is a medical charity that provides financial aid to people who live within seven miles of the centre of Reading, who have a physical or mental illness or disability.

Small one-off grants are given for a wide range of items or services that statutory services cannot provide. Grants me be towards:

  • beds and bedding
  • holidays,
  • equipment and adaptations
  • clothing,
  • computers and domestic appliances such as white goods,
  • furniture and carpets

Who is eligible?

Anyone who has a medical condition (relating to physical or mental health/disability) who live within a seven mile radius of the centre of Reading, Berkshire.

Please note: the charity cannot make grants for equipment and services that are available through statutory sources.

How to apply?

Qualified medical/health professional, such as a GP, nurse, community psychiatric nurse (CPN), occupational therapist, should apply on behalf of the individual.

The application form and guidelines are available on the Reading Dispensary Trust website or by calling the charity's office.

Please note that payment can only be made to an organisation not an individual.

Please ask a qualified health or medical professional that knows you professionally to apply on your behalf. They could be a GP, nurse, occupational therapist, or other health worker.
