Richard Watts and The City of Rochester Almshouse Charities

Apprenticeship Grants are available for trade apprentices aged up to 25 years of age who live within ME1 and ME2 postcode areas in Rochester and who have successfully completed their first year apprenticeship (at least) and wish to continue for a subsequent year. Their apprenticeship placement does not have to be located in ME1 or ME2.

Please note that an application form must be completed by the apprentice supported by their employer and must give some details of why the monies are needed e.g. additional study costs, tools, protective clothing or equipment, travel costs for studying .

Other information

The charity also runs an almshouse and offers older people help with household chores such as cleaning, home deliveries and making telephone calls.
