Rochdale United Charity

Grants are available for people in need who live in the Ancient Parish of Rochdale, which includes the former County Borough of Rochdale, Castleton, Whitworth, Wardle, Littleborough, Todmorden and Saddleworth. Examples of grants given are:

  • Financial assistance with a sudden illness
  • Financial assistance towards the cost of domestic appliances;
  • Arrangements for recuperative holiday for people long deprived of such a holiday;
  • Medical aids and equipment;
  • Provision of telephones, televisions or radio sets for the lonely, bedridden or housebound.

Who is eligible?

To be eligible you MUST live in the Ancient Parish of Rochdale, which includes the former County Borough of Rochdale, Castleton, Whitworth, Wardle, Littleborough, Todmorden and Saddleworth.

What we can't help with:

Before making grants, the Trustees have to satisfy themselves that relief is not already available from a statutory source.
