Royal Naval Benevolent Trust

Grants are available to serving and former Royal Naval ratings and Royal Marines other ranks, which includes Reservists; they are known as Primary Beneficiaries. We also help their partners, separated partners and their children. The trust usually gives help for the items and services listed below:

  • Respite breaks
  • House repairs and house adaptations for medical reasons
  • Food and clothing
  • Funerals
  • Furniture/furnishings and household goods
  • Mortgage and rent
  • Education and employment or training
  • Energy/fuel
  • Council tax and rates
  • Care Home Top-up fees
  • Legal Expenses

How to apply?

Contact your local branch of SSAFA, The Armed Forces Charity or Royal British Legion who will arrange for a caseworker to visit you to complete an application form.
