Sands Cox Relief in Sickness Charity

The charity gives grants to people who live within Birmingham City Council and have a diagnosed illness or disability or are recovering from an illness. Grants are usually between £250 and £500. The charity will rarely give more than this.

Please note that the charity can only accept applications from people who are resident within Birmingham City Council and pay council tax to that council.

Who is eligible?

People who live in and pay council tax to Birmingham City Council, have a diagnosed illness or disability and need financial assistance. 

The Sands Cox Relief in Sickness Charity cannot make grants that would replace statutory funding.

How to apply?

Email or write to the charity to request an application form. 

The charity cannot give emergency grants. The deadline for applications are the end of April (to be considered in May) and the end of October (to be considered in November).
