Scottish Building Federation Edinburgh and District Charitable Trust

The Scottish Building Federation Edinburgh and District Charitable Trust provides financial support to people in reduced circumstances who have been involved with the building trade in Edinburgh and the Lothians - particularly owners and senior employees of building companies.

Who is eligible?

People in reduced circumstances who are or have been involved in the building trade in Edinburgh and the Lothians.  Also the spouses, children or other dependent relatives of qualifying persons.

Grants are awarded directly to individuals to assist with their particular needs.

How to apply?

Applications can be made directly by the individual in need or a family member.

You can download the application form on the Scott-Moncrieff website or contact the charity.

Requests for help are looked at as soon as an enquiry is submitted.

Subject to any requests for additional information, the charity aims to provide a decision on applications within a month.

All applicants are advised of the outcome of their application.

Other information

The charity also provides scholarships to students in local universities who are involved in skills relating to the building industry. (Heriot-Watt University, Napier University, West Lothian College and Edinburgh College.)
