Second Chance Charity

The Second Chance Charity provides support, advice, guidance to people in crisis who live Medway to pay for food, bedding, clothing and occasionally furniture. Second Chance are able to help with grants if the applicant meets certain criteria.

Who is eligible?

People in crisis living in Medway and Kent.

Second Chance are able to help with grants if the applicant meets certain criteria.

Grants are given via a supplier of goods/services or by giving items rather than money.

What the charity doesn't fund

Grants for bankruptcy fees, private school fees, medical costs, funeral costs.

How to apply?

Enquiries are looked at as soon as they are received. Grant applications are usually processed within a few days.

You can apply to the charity by email, phone or in person at the MRS Community Hub (contact details below) (contact the charity first to make sure the Community Hub will be open when you visit).

Referrals can also be made by another local organisation, such as jobcentres, local council or probation service or charity.

The charity replies to all enquiries, whether or not it can help.

The MRS Community Hub aims to support the people of Medway from within the community. For more information, see the MRS Community Hub website.

The Community Hub also provides housing advice, has an Employability Job Club and gives food aid.
