Shropshire Welfare Trust

The Shropshire Welfare Trust awards grants to individuals who need financial assistance and have a significant health problem or disability.

You must be living in Shropshire, be on a low income and have little capital. Grants will be paid for specific goods or services and will not normally be more than £300.

Who is eligible?

To apply, you must:

  • live in Shropshire
  • have significant medical needs or a disability
  • be on a low income and have little capital. 

How to apply?

Individuals can apply directly but their application needs to be supported by a sponsor. This might be a GP, social worker, housing officer, health visitor or anyone in an official position who understands your situation. 

Please download the application form from The Shropshire Welfare Trust's website and send the completed application by email. 

You should should include some information concerning your health problems and financial situation. Please also specify the item or service you need the grant for. 

If your application is successful, you will need to provide copies of the receipts for the items or services to the trust.

Other information

The Trust also gives grants to organisations that assist people in Shropshire who have an illness or disability.
