Full or part-time students under the age of 25 who live either in the London boroughs of Greenwich or Lewisham, and have been resident there for at least the last three years. 

Grants are to cover living expenses that will allow individuals to continue their education or training, for example:

  • Daily living costs e.g. rent, food etc.
  • Travel costs to and from school, College or University
  • Educational materials and equipment, books
  • Childcare costs
  • For under 16's - uniform/sports kit/travel to school/educational excursions

Who is eligible?

You may be eligible if you:

  • Are a permanent resident in Greenwich or Lewisham and a UK national or have settled status
  • Are aged below 25
  • have a household gross income of £30,000 per annum or less

The Foundation does not fund:

  • Tuition fees
  • Study overseas
  • Grants to cover specific loans and/or debts
  • Grants to set up a business venture
  • Independent school fees
  • Students aged over 25 and pre-school aged children
  • Postgraduate students who have 2:2 degree or lower
  • A Level studies (except for post 19 year old students)
  • Retrospective funding

If you are aged between 16 and 25 and in further or higher education: download an application form from the Drapers' Company website

For individuals under 16: contact your local education authority for help and information.

Applications are considered at meetings in November, February and June. In order to be considered, completed applications should be submitted at least three weeks before these meeting dates.
