St Andrew’s Society for Ladies in Need

We provide financial help to older ladies who are British-born, live alone in their own home and are retired or close to retirement age and unable to work through illness or disability. Applicants are expected to have attained a good standard of education with relevant qualifications.

The Society gives regular grants towards day to day living expenses and also special one off grants towards urgent household items, such as cookers, washing machines and refrigerators, dentistry, spectacles, etc. Grants may also be given towards top-up fees in care homes and help towards the cost of care at home.

Please note: St Andrew's Society for Ladies in Need is a small charity with limited funds.
