St Andrew’s Society for Ladies in Need

We provide financial help to ladies who are British-born, live alone in their own home and are retired or unable to work through illness or disability. Applicants must have also attained a good standard of education.

The Society gives regular grants towards day to day living expenses and also special one off grants towards urgent household items, such as cookers, washing machines and fridges, dentistry, spectacles, convalescence, etc. Grants are also given towards top-up fees in care homes and help towards the cost of nursing at home.
