St Giles-in-the-Fields and Bloomsbury United Charity

Grants to help people in or around Bloomsbury who need financial support, particularly those with physical/mental health issues or disabilities. The areas that charity covers are the majority of Bloomsbury and Covent Garden & Holborn wards, in Camden and small parts of St James and West End Wards in Westminster. Grants are mostly to help with buying new or replacement household items.

Who is eligible?

People who live in or around Bloomsbury in financial need, particularly those with physical/mental health issues or disabilities. The areas that charity covers are the majority of Bloomsbury and Covent Garden & Holborn wards, in Camden and small parts of St James and West End Wards in Westminster. You should also be on a low income, whether that it on benefits or in employment. We do not offer educational grants and are unlikely to fund holidays.

How to apply?

Call the charity's office to request an application form. You can also download an application form from our website

Applications are considered all year round and the charity aims to make a decision in about three weeks. Please note that you will be visited in your home. Only one application will be considered in a 12 month period, and only two applications over three years.
