St Peter's United Charities

St Peter's United Charities provides small grants for individuals in need in the city of Nottingham.

The Charity gives grants for essential basic items that applicants are unable to afford for themselves. Grants are usually given for clothing, bedding, furniture and other household items, such as a washing machine. However, the trustees consider applications on a case by case basis and sometimes give grants for other items.

Please note: individuals should not apply directly. A professional referrer who knows the applicant and can vouch for the applicant's circumstances should apply on their behalf.

Who is eligible?

Individuals who live in the city of Nottingham who are unable to afford basic items. Individuals of any religion can apply.

Please note that the referrer will need to provide proof that the applicant is in financial need. A statement that the individual is “on benefits” is not necessarily enough proof for the trustees to provide a grant.

How to apply?

Individuals should not apply directly. Instead, a referrer who knows the applicant and is part of the church network, such as a social worker, should apply.

The referrer should download the application form from the Nottingham Churches' website. Please read the application guidelines before applying. The completed form can be sent by email or post.

The trustees usually make a decision within two weeks, as long as the application form is fully completed.
