Strongbones Children’s Charitable Trust

The Trust helps with the cost of disability equipment and aids to children and young people under the age of 21 who are suffering from arthritis, scoliosis, brittle bone disease, bone cancer and all other conditions of the bone. The Trust can help with:

  • disability equipment
  • manual wheelchairs
  • smart home technology
  • supportive seating 
  • trikes

Who is eligible?

Children and young people under the age of 21 with arthritis, scoliosis, brittle bone disease, bone cancer and all other conditions of the bone.

Please note that we can only help with the cost disability equipment, manual wheelchairs, smart home technology, supportive seating and trikes.

We can't help with household appliances and furniture, electric wheelchairs or sensory equipment. If you need an electric wheelchair or sensory equipment, contact the following organisations:

How to apply?

Contact the Trust to request an application form. Please note that it may take up to three months to receive a decision.

The Trust can provide emergency grants for children with bone cancer undergoing treatment or terminally ill children.

Other information

Strongbones Children’s Charitable Trust provides advice to families in accessing welfare benefits. This includes disability benefits and disabled facilities grants that they may be entitled to receive.
