The Aldgate & Allhallows Barking Exhibition Foundation

Grants for undergraduate students studying at Queen Mary University, London, and for students at other colleges who are under the age of 30, have been permanently resident in London Borough of Tower Hamlets or the City of London for at least the past three years, are from a low-income background and are studying full-time in Further, Higher or Postgraduate education on a course of at least one year. Individuals from a refugee background are welcome to apply, as long as they have been granted either Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK or full Refugee status.

Who is eligible?

Grants for students who are: under the age of 30 at the start of the course permanently resident in London Borough of Tower Hamlets or the City of London for at least the past three years, and from a low income background, studying full-time in Further, Higher or Postgraduate education on a course of at least one year in length that will result in the awarding of a recognised qualification. Refugees who have been granted indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK or full Refugee status. Grants are not made for private colleges, fees at independent schools, or for short courses that are less than a year in length. Grants are not made for repeat years of study, study for a qualification at the same or a lower level than those an individual already possesses, fees for Higher Education courses, unless they relate to second degrees and a Student Loan for fees is not available, or medical electives.

How to apply?

Contact the foundation telling them contact details, age, course, how long you have lived in the City of London or Tower Hamlets, how you heard about the Foundation, and what you need a grant for.
