The Anglian Water Assistance Fund

The Anglian Water Assistance Fund supports current domestic account holders of Anglian or Hartlepool Water who are in financial need.

The Fund can consider helping those in debt (over six months) with water and/ or sewerage charges owed to Anglian/ Hartlepool Water.

The Fund operates a six to twelve month provisional award scheme. This means that an applicant must keep up to date with current payments for a period of six to 12 months, before their debt is cleared.

Who is eligible?

Current domestic account holders of Anglian or Hartlepool Water who are in debt with their water and/ or sewage charges owed to Anglian or Hartlepool Water.

The quickest and easiest way to apply is via the the AWAF online application form.

Alternatively download, print and complete an application form via the website.

Filling in the application form:

  • You will need to send in proof with your completed application of the amount of income you have and where it comes from e.g. wages, benefits etc.
  • Please read section 12 carefully to see what information you need to send into us with your completed application.
  • Don't forget to sign the application form in section 11 - if the form is not signed we cannot assess your application.

If you receive an award from the Fund, you cannot reapply. If your application is not successful you can reapply after six months.
