Grants of up to £500 to assist young people around Dorchester and Crossways in Dorset with educational costs. Grants may be given to help pay towards books, equipment such as tools, and exam fees).

Who is eligible?

To qualify for a grant:

  • You must live within 5 miles of Dorchester or in the Civil Parish of Crossways
  • You must be under 25
  • Your parents / household income (or your own if self supporting) must be below £30,800 a year

How to apply?

Application forms are available on the Charity website 

Please note that you will need to provide financial information and provide a reference letter from the College.

The Trustees usually meet three times a year to discuss applications – in mid September, January and May. Application forms should be received at least three weeks before a meeting to be considered.

Applicants will find out if their application has been successful within two weeks or the meeting.
