The Australian Music Foundation in London

Scholarships for for young Australian classical musicians, conductors and composers to study in the UK, USA and Europe.

Applications are open to instrumentalists up to the age of 26, and singers, conductors, accompanists, repetiteurs and composers up to the age of 30 on the application closing date.

Who is eligible?

  • Australian students who have been offered a place on a course at a recognised music college, conservatoire or university in the UK, USA or Europe, starting in the next academic year.

  • Postgraduate students who are already part-way through a postgraduate programme of artistic study in the UK, USA or Europe.

  • Undergraduate students who are part-way through their course. We are not able to accept undergraduate applications for the first year of study abroad.

How to apply?

Applications are usually open between April and May. Apply online on the Australian Music Foundation website

Awards will be granted in October following two rounds of auditions - the First Round by online video audition in April, followed by the live Final Auditions at a venue to be announced in London in early October. If you are not able to attend the Finals in London, your initial video audition will still be considered.
