The Cameron Fund - The GPs' own charity

Grants are available for General Practitioners and their dependents who are in need. This includes working and retired doctors or any age.

Who is eligible?

You may be eligible if you are:

  • ​working or retired doctor
  • doctors who have been accepted on to a programme of speciality training for general practice
  • dependents of GPs and formers GPs who are under 18
  • dependents of GPs and former GPs who are over 18 and can demonstrate reliance on the support of a GP, former GP or another dependent of a GP.

Before applying, check that you are claiming all of the State & Local Authority Benefits to which you are entitled, e.g. Jobseeker's Allowance, Council Tax Rebate, Tax Credits.

How to apply?

Download an application form from The Cameron Fund's website. You can also phone or email the fund.

The fund considers applications quarterly, but sometimes can award emergency grants. Please note that a trustee will visit an applicant to ensure that they fully understand their situation.
