The Caroline Fitzmaurice Trust

We provide grants to individuals who meet the following criteria:-

  • In full-time education

  • Live in one of the local authority areas of Perth & Kinross, Fife, Stirling, Clackmannanshire and Dundee in Scotland.

An applicant has to demonstrate that he or she shows high promise, that finance from the Trust will in the long term assist him or her to contribute to the community or communities where he or she may live in the future, that he or she has a specific need for financial aid from the Trust that cannot be met by the individual on his or her own, and that he or she is endeavouring to raise funds elsewhere through his or her own personal efforts.

Please note grants are only awarded once a year. Closing date for applications is April 30 each year. Trustees usually make decisions on awards in June each year.

An applicant has to demonstrate that he or she shows high promise, that finance from the Trust will in the long term assist him or her to contribute to the community or communities where he or she may live in the future, that he or she has a specific need for financial aid from the Trust that cannot be met by the individual on his or her own, and that he or she is endeavouring to raise funds elsewhere through his or her own personal efforts.

For applicants who are under 18 at the dates of their applications, the Trustees will require full information on both parents’ means, both capital and income.  While this information may be provided separately if parents prefer, the Trustees will not consider applications until the application form, the Report of the Principal Referee, and the information on both parents’ means have all been received.

How to apply?

Application deadline is April 30 each year. Trustees usually make decisions about funding in June each year.

Written reports in support of applications are always required from applicants’ referees, who should be prepared to write fully with their personal comments, both on the applicant and on the proposed course or career.
