The Charles Brook Convalescent Fund

The Charles Brook Convalescent Fund helps people convalescing after treatment as in-patients or out-patients of Huddersfield hospitals. Grants are small, and the maximum amount that can be given is £500. The fund can help with:

  • Special foods, medicines or appliances.
  • Household goods such as washing machines, fridges etc.
  • Floor coverings, cleaning services. Clothing, bedding. Holiday for convalescence.

Who is eligible?

This fund is for people who live in Huddersfield and District (in other words the area to NHS South Kirklees).

The fund offers to assist in the provision of residents who find themselves in need.

How to apply?

Individuals can not self-refer, all referrals should be made through a, medical professional, social worker, mental health worker etc.

Applications are considered six times year. The maximum grant available is £500 in one 12 month period.
