The Clackmannan District Charitable Trust

Grants for people in need who have lived in Clackmannanshire for at least twelve months. Grants are also for people who have lived there for at least six months before their application is considered, as long as they lived there for three years some time in the past.

Grants are usually made for essential household items, such as an electric cooker, washing machine, fridge, beds and bedding.

Who is eligible?

People in need who have lived in Clackmannanshire for 12 consecutive months preceding the application being considered or who have lived in Clackmannanshire for three years at some time in the past and continuously for the six consecutive months preceding the application being considered.

Individuals must have applied to Scottish Welfare Fund within Clackmannanshire Council and been refused items before they are eligible to apply to The Clackmannan District Charitable Trust.

How to apply?

To be able to apply to this Trust, you need to have first applied to the Scottish Welfare Fund, including T1 Review and T2 Review to Scottish Public Ombudsman Service (SPSO). If you haven't applied to the Scottish Welfare Fund yet, read Turn2us' information on how to apply.

Individuals can download an application for The Clackmannan District Charitable Trust from the Clackmannan Council website

The Trustees consider applications twice a year, usually in March and September.
