  • In financial hardship
  • Affected by physical or mental illness or disability

Who is eligible?

People in financial need who live in the County of Devon and are:

  • elderly
  • in financial hardship
  • affected by physical or mental illness or disability

We make it a priority to help people who live in East Devon.

How to apply?

If you applying for yourself or for a family member

You can apply yourself but you need to include a letter of support from a professional, such as a Sports coach or manager, Local authority officer, religious leader, healthcare worker or teacher. 

If your application is successful. The Foundation will give the payment to the organisation that provided the letter of support. Download an application form for individual applications on The David Gibbons Foundation's website

How to send your application

Applications are not accepted by email. You should post your completed form and accompanying documents by post and ensure the envelope is clearly marked ‘The Gibbons Trusts’ (as there are other businesses and charities operating at the same address).

Please do not send applications by Recorded Delivery or any delivery service that requires a signature. Also please ensure you have attached the correct stamps to cover the postage cost.

How often applications are considered

The Trustees consider applications four times a year.
