The Deeping St James United Charities

The Deeping St James United Charities gives grants to residents of the Parish of Deeping St James and Frognall who are in need. 

Small Christmas gifts are also given to residents of the parish of state pensionable age. 

Grants can be given for:

  • debts, household bills & rent/council tax payments
  • basic essentials (such as white goods, household equipment and repairs)
  • Helping people maintaining or obtaining properties

Who is eligible?

People in need who have lived in the parish of Deeping St James and Frognall for at least two years.

For more information regarding eligibility you can contact the Clerk who is available every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 9am - 12 noon.

How to apply?

General grants:

You can download an application form from the charity's Deeping St James United Charities website and send the completed form to the address below. You can also pick an application form up from the address below on weekdays between 10:00 and 12:00.

Applications for general grants are considered six times a year. 

Small Christmas gift for older people:

Phone the Clerk for an initial conversation. 

Applications should be sent to the charity before the end of November. If you are successful grants are given near St Thomas' Day in late December.

This Trust also gives grants to college and university students through the Tyghe Educational Foundation.
