Grants are available to students studying A levels in fee-paying schools (including state boarding schools). Applicants must need financial assistance because of a sudden or unexpected family crisis such as death, accident, severe illness, divorce, desertion or loss of employment.

Who is eligible?

You may be eligible if you meet ALL of the following criteria:

  • You are studying A Levels at a fee-paying school (including state boarding school)
  • You have experienced sudden or unexpected family crisis such as death, accident, severe illness, divorce, desertion or loss of employment
  • You have high academic grades (a majority of actual or predicted A*s or As at GCSE)
  • Your school is willing to make a significant contribution to the fees.

The trustees may consider applications from students with lower grades in extreme circumstances.

Students who are not studying A Levels cannot apply. No grants for additional expenses, such as music lessons, expeditions etc.

How to apply?

Contact The Emmott Foundation Limited to request an application form. The Trustees meet three times a year, in March, June and November to consider applications.
