The Esdaile Trust

Esdaile Trust gives educational grants to daughters of the Church of Scotland, of Deaconesses of the Church of Scotland or widows and of Missionaries appointed or nominated by the Overseas Council of the Church of Scotland. 

Daughters should normally be between 12 and 25 years old. Families should be able to show that they are on low incomes and are in financial need.

Who is eligible?

Ministers of the Church of Scotland or Deaconesses of the Church of Scotland who are widows and missionaries appointed or nominated by the Overseas Council of the Church of Scotland with daughters at secondary school and university.

Daughters should normally be between 12 and 25 years old. Families should be able to show that they are on low incomes and are in financial need.

Applications should be submitted by the end of May each year. Grants are awarded in early September.
