The Fire Fighters Charity

The Charity provides services that enhance quality of life for serving and retired fire fighters, fire personnel and their families through a range of support programmes including physical rehabilitation, psychological support, recuperation and a confidential helpline which provides impartial advice, guidance and support on a wide range of concerns.

Who is eligible?

The charity has defined eligibility criteria for each of these categories.

  • Fire and rescue service personnel (whole time, retained, uniformed and support)
  • Former fire and rescue service personnel
  • Works firefighters
  • Former works firefighters
  • Those engaged on or assisting in the management or provision of a Fire Services Youth Scheme
  • Eligible dependants of any person falling within the above
  • Fire and rescue service chaplains or faith leaders
  • Fire and rescue service volunteers
