The Fluck Convalescent Fund

The Fund gives grants to women of all ages and children under 16 who:

  • live in the city of Gloucester or its surrounding area
  • are in poor health or are recovering after an illness or operation
  • need financial assistance

Grants are given for essential items such as clothing, bedding, furniture, food, refrigerator or freezer, vacuum cleaner and aids for those with a disability.

Grants may also be paid towards a respite holiday or school educational trip.

Who is eligible?

Women of all ages and children under 16 who live in the city of Gloucester and its surrounding area.

Applicants should be in financial need and in poor health or convalescing after illness or an operation.

No grants to help repay debts or the relief of public funds.


How to apply?

An intermediary, such as a social worker, should write to the charity on behalf of the individual.

Applications are considered throughout the year.
