The Gane Charitable Trust

Grants are available for students and members of the public involved in arts and crafts, architecture and design and social welfare. There is a preference for applicants from Bristol, Newport and the surrounding areas.

Grants are awarded for expenses such as equipment and travel and range up to £500. The Trust usually only gives one-off grants.

Who is eligible?

Members of the public and students of arts and crafts, or design and social welfare. There is a preference for applicants from Bristol and South Wales.

Please note: Grants are only given to individuals and not organisations.

What we can't help with

  • Living costs
  • Course fees
  • Postgraduate course costs
  • Travel outside the UK unconnected with the Awards Scheme
  • People who have already received grants from us

How to apply?

On a form available on the Gane Trust website

Please read the guidelines before filling in the form. We usually only deal with applicants through our website. However, we can send hard copies by post for those who cannot use the internet.

Applications are considered in Spring, Summer and early Autumn.
