The Gerald Finzi Charitable Trust

Grants for students studying music. There is a preference for young people, for example children, students including postgraduates and those at an early stage of their career. There is also a preference for students who have a relationship to the work or creative philosophy of Gerald and Joy Finzi.

The charity may give grants for:

  • music performance
  • music publication
  • books on music
  • music festivals
  • musicians and students to further musical education, including purchase of instruments

Who is eligible?

Grants for students studying music. There is a preference for young people, for example children, students including postgraduates and those at an early stage of their career.

Please note: We do not give grants for: postgraduate study, undergraduate study, subsistence, school fees. We do not give grants for items or services that have already been paid for.

How to apply?

Download an application form from the charity's website: http://www.geraldfinzi.org/grant-giving.html and send the completed form to the postal address below. Applications will be considered twice a year; deadlines for submission are February and September.
