The Institute of Quarrying Benevolent Fund (IQBF)

The Institute of Quarrying Benevolent Fund (IQBF) helps members or former members of The Institute of Quarrying or their dependants when they are in need.

Grants can be given to help with care, training, transport, unexpected financial difficulties, therapy, disability and illness expenses. Each application will be taken on its own merits.

Who is eligible?

Members or former members of the Institute of Quarrying and their dependents.

Please note: people who work in the quarrying industry who are not members of the institute are not able to apply.

Applications can be made directly by the individual in need or a family member.

How grants are given

This can vary dependent on the type of grant. Sometimes it would be direct to the person needing the grant.  If it is for a specific item, we may pay for it and it is then delivered to the individual.

Grants process

Applications are looked at as soon as they are received and take approximately 4-6 weeks to process.

We reply to all applicants, whether or not we can help.

Documents needed

Bank statements, bank savings statements and building society statements.

We also provide telephone/email support, advice and signposting.
