Educational grants for people under 25 who live in Harpenden or Wheathampstead and need financial support while they are studying at school, college, university, or through an apprenticeship. In the past, the foundation has given grants for:

  • Apprenticeships
  • Work tools, clothing and training
  • Career development
  • Study books and materials
  • Laptop computers
  • University costs
  • School trips and uniform
  • Travel costs for work or study
  • Curriculum related sport/music/dance costs

Who is eligible?

People under 25 who are in need and live in Harpenden and Wheathampstead. Applicants should be studying, or about to study at a school, college, university, or undertaking apprenticeship. There is a preference for students aged 16 and over.

Please see the website for information on what supporting documents you need to provide. The Trustees meet approximately every 6 weeks to discuss and approve applications. We will contact you with the Trustees' decision the next working day. There is also a list of meeting dates on the website.
